The UIndy Radio Alternative Countdown is a specialty show that aired on UIndy Radio, WICR-FM/HD3 every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. during the fall semester of 2022.  The Countdown featured 90 minutes of the top 20 hottest alternative songs, according to Mediabase charts, currently playing on UIndy Radio.

 

My idea for The UIndy Radio Alternative Countdown came from already having hosted a 90-minute Triple-A music countdown show on KCLC-FM/HD1 when I was a student at Lindenwood University.  I loved having the Countdown show, and when WICR General Manager and Applied Radio professor Scott Uecker wanted more specialty shows for the fall semester of 2022, I pitched The UIndy Radio Alternative Countdown and it was immediately approved.
